The palace was built in 1196 and served for a long time for various administrative purposes. It has a strict neoclassical façade. 2 survived towers strikingly fill up its image: one of them, Lamberti, is the highest in the city, currently serving as an observation site. The façade from Piazza dei Signori side has a Renaissance style and impresses with a plethora of decorations, paintings, beautiful moldings, medallions, and red brick and white stone which catch your attention. Today, Palazzo della Ragione is a home for Achille Forte modern art gallery.
